John J. Maurey

John J. Maurey, 82, widower of Margaret Maurey, of Coaldale, passed away on Wednesday, October 1, 2025 at Seton Manor.

Born in Coaldale, John was the son of the late William and Elizabeth (Ackerman) Maurey.

John was a graduate of Lansford High School and went on to serve in The United States Army.

John was a machinist with Bosch-Rexroth until his retirement.

John was a very social person. He was a member of the Lansford Legion, multiple VFW’s, The Russian Club, and Raccoon Club, as well as the Lappawinzo Rod and Gun Club, and the Ontelaunee Rod and Gun Club. He was also a fan of the Boyertown Bears and enjoyed shooting pool.

John is survived by his daughter, Lisa A, Maurey and her companion David Strongowski. He is also survived by his nieces: Kathleen, wife of Vince; Patricia, wife of John; Eileen McLaughlin, companion of Larry, and Nephew Charles McLaughlin and his companion Janet, as well as his great nieces and nephews: Amber Zuber and her family; Hailey Nahf; Kyle Nahf and Michael McLaughlin and his family.

John is predeceased by one sister, Joyce McLauglin, and one brother, William Maurey.

Family and friends are invited to a viewing on Tuesday, October 7, 2025 from 10AM to 11AM at Morrell Funeral Home 124 W. Philadelphia Ave., Boyertown, PA 19512. A funeral service will follow at 11AM.

Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery in Boyertown.
