Kathryn (Kitty) M. Buchert

Kathryn (Kitty) M. (Schutt) Buchert, 82, wife of the late Lee Buchert of Gilbertsville passed away at Lehigh Valley Hospital on Thursday, June 19, 2025.
Kitty was born in Pottstown on September 6, 1942. She was the daughter of the late Ralston P. Schutt, and Marie (Christman) Krigalo.
Kitty was a 1960 graduate of Boyertown High School where she was a member of the color guard and met the love her life Lee and spent 53 years together until his passing in 2013. She worked for many years as a bank teller until the family purchased Pottstown Burial Vault in 1997. In her spare time Kitty enjoyed knitting, baking, traveling and spending time with her grandchildren.
Kitty is survived by her two son’s Brian L. Buchert, husband of Lauren; Timothy A. Buchert, husband of Lynn; five grandchildren Chelsey Buchert, Casey Buchert, Thomas Buchert, Madelyn Buchert and Jacob Buchert; two step-grandchildren Benjamin Leister and Hunter Leister.
Kitty is proceeded by two brothers Richard and William Schutt, and her step father, Peter Krigalo.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Kitty’s name to Boyertown Friends Helping Friends, PO Box 36 Boyertown, PA 19525.
A viewing will be held Thursday June, 26, 2025 from 6pm to 8pm at Trinity Lutheran Church 1749 S. Main St Bechtelsville, PA 19505.
Burial will be private.
