Jean D. (Heydt) Bishe, 86, wife of Harold Bishe, of Boyertown, passed away at home on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, surrounded by her family.
Born in Schnecksville on May 6, 1938, Jean was the daughter of the late Raymond and Emma (Eckhart) Heydt.
Jean worked at various local orchards throughout her life. She also worked at Beckerman’s Shoe, Boyertown Shoe, and EdRu Shoe, all of which were in Boyertown. She also worked at Tung-Sol, and most recently, as a custodian at Trinity Church in Boyertown.
Jean was a member of Trinity Church on Swinehart Rd., in Boyertown. She enjoyed doing word search puzzles, adult coloring books and sticker books to keep active.
One thing you could be sure of if there was an old western on tv she was watching. She also loved to watch the many deer that would visit her nightly.
Jean loved listening to Christian singer, David Phelps which she saw in concert 3 times.
Her greatest joy in life, however, was being a mother and caring for her family. Whether she was Jeanie, Mom, Mom-mom or Nana she had an overabundance of love to give.
In addition to her husband of sixty-eight years, Jean is survived by one son, Mark Bishe, husband of Cindy, and two daughters, Kathy Bishe, and Peggy Hafer, wife of Scott; as well as four grandchildren; Stephanie, Michelle, Joel, and Kristen, and six great grandchildren; Lydia, Abigale, Mason, Collin, Sophee and Hailey. Jean is also survived by one sister, MaryAnn Banus, and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
Jean is predeceased by three brothers; Raymond, Willard, and Edwin; and three sisters; Norma, Beatrice (Betty), and Grace.
Family and friends are invited to a graveside service at Fairview Cemetery in Boyertown on Friday, May 9, 2025 at 11am.
A celebration of life will be held at Trinity Church Boyertown on a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jean’s name to Trinity Church 250 Sweinhart Rd., Boyertown, PA 19512.

We were saddened to hear of Jean’s passing from Joyce Leary. We have fond remembrances of her and your entire family. Wil especially treasured the times he would have heart to heart talks with Jean during the days she served as the church custodian. We know you have a ton of wonderful memories of her life that will provide some comfort and solace as you mourn her passing. May you be encouraged to know she is with the Lord and we will all one day be reunited in heaven. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
