Jack F. Hauser

Jack F. Hauser

John Frederick Hauser, Jack to his friends and family, passed away peacefully at home April 25, 2025.

Born October 27, 1950, to Fred and Katherine Hauser (Burke) in New York City, Jack grew up taking many memorable family camping trips throughout Canada and spent summers enjoying the local swimming hole with his siblings. He was a dedicated boy scout who was especially proud of hiking the Philmont High Adventure base.

Jack received his bachelor’s degree in economics from King’s College, and while he had a 35-year successful career in the pharmaceutical industry, his proudest accomplishments were his three children – Sara, Laura, and John.

He was a loving and devoted father. A steady, constant spirit, Jack could always be counted on, whether it was driving an hour and half to change a flat tire, moving in or out of apartments, or simply discussing life’s challenges over a bottle of wine and a good meal.

A resident of Boyertown, Jack enjoyed taking long walks and loved to hang out and shoot the breeze with his friends. A real raconteur, he could talk to anyone about anything—a trait that helped him connect with anyone he crossed paths with.

Jack was a connoisseur of sorts, he had a deep knowledge of wine, which he enjoyed collecting. He was an amazing home cook who enjoyed sharing recipes and photos of his latest dishes—his butterscotch cookies were legendary.

Multi-faceted, Jack was also a fashion icon known for his bright socks, a bold style choice that started in high school and continued through to his days as a swim coach. The young swimmers he coached filled his days with purpose and joy. He lived to help those he coached reach their fullest potential.

He is missed dearly by his friends and family, who are comforted in knowledge that he’s in Heaven, most likely talking the ears off of St. Peter and anyone who will listen.

He was predeceased by his parents Katherine and Fred.

He is survived by his children Sara (George) Hauser, Laura Hauser, and John Hauser. He is also survived by his siblings Kathleen Donnellan, Mary Bernadette (Jay) Newcomb, Dorothea (Jim) Benintende, Ellen (Mark) Regula, and Richard Hauser.

Friends and family will be received from 11am to 12 pm, on Saturday, May 3, 2024 at Morrell Funeral Home 124 W. Philadelphia Ave., Boyertown, PA 19512. A celebration of life will follow at 12pm. Burial will be private at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Jack’s memory to the National Park Foundation.

  3. Coach Jack was a great coach and even better human being. He always knew what to say to you and he always had this way about him of saying the things you didn’t want to hear in a way where you could hear. He took the time out of his day to really get to know people and build a deeper connection. I always looked forward to bumping into him when I would come home from college.

  4. Jack was a great person! He always had time to chat and reminisce about his children, his youth and work with great joy and pride. . My girls Gracie and Gabrielle loved him and he looked out for them on the pool deck and in college and life. My husband and I enjoyed time spent with him. Rest in peace, Jack.
