June Arlene Smits, 79, wife of George E. Smits, of Quakertown, passed away on Saturday, December 14, 2024, at Pheobe Richland Assisted Living.

Born in Norristown, June was the daughter of the late Herbert C. and Katherine (Reeves) Thomas.

June worked in the hospitality field. In addition to Pennsylvania, she lived in both Arizona and Las Vegas for a time. June loved to crochet, always making blankets for her children and grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, June is survived by three daughters, Cindy Roddy; Vickie Klaumenzer; Kelly Klaumenzer; one son, George Henry Smits; nine grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; and two sisters, Dixie Moyer (Clarence); and Sandy Moore. She is also survived by a nephew, Michael Duerr, as well as several other nieces and nephews.

June is predeceased by one son, Donald Klaumenzer; four brothers, F. Clete Thomas; Blaine Thomas; Gene Thomas; and Steve Thomas; as well as a sister, Tammy Saylor.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
