Helen L. Moyer

Helen L. (Hollowbush) Moyer, Boyertown, widow of Steward R. Moyer, passed away on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at Lehigh Valley Hospital.

Born in Lansdale, Helen was the daughter of the late Grover and Florence (Kulp) Hollowbush.

Helen was a 1946 graduate of Boyertown Area High School. She worked as a waitress at Hickory Park all through high school. She also enjoyed roller skating at Ringing Rocks.

After Helen and Steward were married, she devoted her time to being a homemaker and loved to sew dresses for her daughters and granddaughters.  Helen also loved baking, playing piano and playing cards with family and friends. Helen enjoyed watching sunsets, rainbows, and large snowflakes falling from the sky. She always cherished time spent at family gatherings.

 After only twenty nine years with the love of her life, Helen became a widow and was employed for the next sixteen years with Bally Ribbon Mill.

She was a member of Good Shepherd UCC in Boyertown.

Helen is survived by four daughters, Bonnie L. Swavely, wife of Edward, of Boyertown; Jannifer S. Tyrpak, wife of Peter, of North Carolina; Rebecca D. Erb, wife of Barry, of Boyertown; and Heidi A. Moyer, wife of Robert, of Boyertown. She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, thirty four great grandchildren,and two great great grandchildren.

Helen was predeceased by three brothers, Wilmer, Robert, and Paul Hollowbush, and one sister, Dorothy Renninger.

Services will be private at the request of the family.
