Gail Earlene (Ehrentraut) Missimer, 86, widow of Carl, passed away at home on Monday, July 15, 2024, with her children by her side.
Born in Pittsburgh, Gail was the daughter of the late Earl Ehrentraut and Mabel (Attwell) Ehrentraut.
Gail was a 1955 graduate of Baldwin High School in Pittsburgh. She was a loving wife and mother who took pride in her home and children. She enjoyed gardening and yardwork, winning awards for her kitchen-sink style backyard. She was known as a professional penny pincher to her loved ones and her chocolate cake with white icing was the highlight of every birthday.
Gail is survived by three children, Pamela (Getting) Stauffer; Jan C. Getting, husband of Michelle; and Jenny Getting, wife of John Brodie; as well as two sons in law, David Stauffer, and Russell Foss; seven grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren.
In addition to Carl, the kindest man, and love of her life, Gail is also predeceased by one daughter, Debra Foss.
Services will be private at the request of the family.
Gail was a lovely and talented person. She and Carl were a great couple and are now happy, together again.
