G.B. (Jake) Youse

G.B. (Jake) Youse, 86, widower of Betty (Marks) Youse, of Mohrsville, passed away on Tuesday, May 14, 2024 at Laureldale Skilled Nursing.

Born in Boyertown, Jake was the son of the late Carl R. Youse and Pearl (Dillaplaine) Youse.

Jake was a truck driver for Alan Krick Trucking until his retirement.

Jake is survived by one son, Robert C. Youse, husband of Karen; as well as seven grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren. He is also survived by one brother, Rodney Youse, and one sister, Patsy Contreras, wife of Joe.

Jake is predeceased by one son, Ron Youse, and one daughter Terry Michener Youse, as well as three sisters, Bonnie, Judy, and Carol.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Friday, May 31, 2024, from 10AM to 11AM  at Morrell Funeral Home 124 W. Philadelphia Ave. Boyertown, PA 19512. A memorial service will follow at 11AM. Inurnment will be private at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jake’s memory to Animal Rescue League of Berks County ( in memory of Molly) 58 Kennel Rd. Birdsboro, PA 19508.

  3. Uncle Jake, I miss you so damn much my heart hurts. I would give anything to have you here or even just your 7am call. You were so much more than my uncle & I’m lucky I was able to tell you & show you how much you meant to me. I will never forget you & when I’m out on the road I know you’ll be there with me in spirit. Buddy misses the hell out of you too & says “woof woof” . Love ya unc & when I see you next time I’ll bring the worms. Missing you till then……..kenny

  4. Hey Jake, I’m gonna miss your trucking and fishing stories, but most of all I’m gonna miss your kindness and friendship,you were like a big brother to me and Debby. She’s gonna miss fixing your cell phone and including you in our leftover meals. I’ll be looking for you when I’m done down here, so save a seat for me near the emergency exit okay? Oh, and Jake keep on trucking..
