Harry E. Kulp

Harry E. Kulp, 87, husband of Leah J. (Moyer) Kulp, of Gilbertsville, passed away at home on Sunday, March 24, 2024, surrounded by his family.

Born in Perkiomenville, Harry was the son of the late Harry E.S. Kulp, and Ella F. (Renninger) Kulp.

Harry worked for fourteen years as a welder for Boyertown Auto Body Works, before moving on to Roadway Express as a truck driver for thirty-two years.

Harry was a member of The International Brotherhood of Teamsters Local 429, Pike Township Sportsman Association, and Sassamansville Fire House.

Surviving in addition to his wife of sixty-nine years are three children: Kimberly A. Babel, wife of Randy; Regina D. Kulp; and Rodney A. Kulp, Sr., husband of Janet. He is also survived by nine grandchildren: Jeremy Yerk, Shannon Samsel, William Yerk, Brandy Alvira, Ashley Babel, Jarad Kulp, Sr., Justine Young, Scarlett Slaby, Rodney Kulp, Jr.; as well as thirteen great grandchildren: Dylan Coughlin, Chloe Samsel, Austin Yerk, Logan Alvira, Merik Alvira, Rylen Alderfer, Christian Alderfer, Jarad Kulp, Jr., Sophia Wagaman, Addyson Kulp, and Oliver Slaby.

Harry was predeceased by a daughter, Robin L. Yerk, wife of Michael; and son, Brian L. Kulp; as well as two great grandsons, Mason Yerk, and Tucker Yerk.

Family and friends are invited to a viewing on Tuesday, April 2, 2024 from 10AM to 11AM at Morrell Funeral Home 124 W. Philadelphia Ave., Boyertown, PA 19512. A funeral service will follow at 11AM.

Interment will be at St. Paul Cemetery Sassamansville.

  3. We’re so sorry that Harry Kulp passed away and is gone with Jesus in heaven. We never forget that he always talk and talk with his lovely sister Geneva joking and make everybody laugh out loudly we notice in our old big house in Barto when we live there. In our heart we miss him.

  8. So sorry to hear of Harry’s passing. When I’d see him outside in his yard or at the picnic table, I’d stop to chat and reminisce. I will never forget these times. Harry and Leah were great neighbors to my grandparents and then to my uncle & his wife. Take care.

  10. I had only met Mr. Kulp at Alvira family cookout outings several times. He was a gentleman and always had a smile and joke to tell. I could see he loved his family dearly and was very loving to his wife. He was also great with his grandchildren and was always telling stories of his growing up. My condolences to the entire Babel family. He no longer is suffering. He has been called home. May he rest in peace with the Lord.

  11. Harry was a wonderful, sweet, and kindhearted man. He also had quick wit. We loved spending time with him and talking. He was a great neighbor, they donโ€™t make them like that anymore. He could always make you laugh. We are sending prayers to Leah and the family. We are so sorry for their loss. He will truly be missed.
