Barbara J. Denney

Barbara J. (Wilkins) Denney, 81, wife of Benjamin Denney Jr., of Boyertown, passed away on Sunday, March 17, 2024, at Keystone Villa in Douglassville.

Born in Philadelphia, Barbara was the daughter of the late Albert Wilkins and Norma (Nicholson) Wilkins.

Barbara graduated from Frankford High School. She and her husband went on to run an electrical supply business.

Barbara was very active and enjoyed playing tennis and golf. She also liked to play mini golf and games with her grandchildren. Play dates with Mom-mom were a highlight for all her grandchildren. She also enjoyed traveling with her husband and getting together often with friends to play games.

One of Barbara’s greatest joys was sharing her Savior with others. Whether teaching children in Sunday School, reading the Bible and its stories to her children and grandchildren, or singing hymns, she never forgot the love and joy of salvation through Christ. She had a passion for missions and children ministries. She was a faithful member of Valley Forge Baptist.

Surviving in addition to her husband are two children, Brenda Thornton, wife of Stephen; and Benjamin Denney III, husband of Marilyn; as well as a sister, Carol Van Jaarsveld.  She is also survived by six grandchildren: Brittany and her husband, Dustin, Blake and his wife, Denise, Shiloh, Brock, Benjamin IV, and David, as well as two great grandchildren: Bria, and Darin with another great granddaughter soon to be born.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Monday, March 25, 2024, from 4PM to 5PM at Valley Forge Baptist 616 S. Trappe Rd, Collegeville, PA 19426. A service will follow at 5PM.

Home going of a mom can be difficult. But I trust you feel mostly joy. Not because she has gone from you but that she is now with her Lord. And freed from a body which was not functioning. We praise God for her home going and pray for your comfort un knowing she is in Gloty.
    In Love
