Ruth A. (Hartman) Haas, 96, widow of Walter H. Haas, of Boyertown, passed away on Thursday, November 23, 2023, at Reading Hospital.

Formerly of Oley, Ruth was born in Gablesville, PA. She was the daughter of the late Russell E. Hartman and Mamie E. (Deysher) Hartman.

Ruth was a 1945 graduate of Boyertown Area High School. She went on to work as a production worker at Tung Sol for seventeen years. Following her time at Tung Sol, Ruth worked at Drug Plastics and Glass Co. Inc., as an office worker until her retirement.

Ruth was an active member of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church in Spangsville.

Ruth is survived by one daughter, Marilyn Leininger, wife of David, as well as a son in law, Barry Hackman, widower of Dolores. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Keith Hackman, companion of Sherry; Colin Hackman, husband of Kelly; Michelle Kowalis, wife of Paul; and Kimberly Weidner, wife of Chris; as well as six great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband of over sixty years, Ruth is also predeceased by one daughter, Dolores Hackman.

Family and friends are invited to a viewing on Thursday, November 30, 2023 from 10AM to 11AM at Morrell Funeral Home, Inc. 124 W. Philadelphia Ave., Boyertown, PA 19512. A funeral service will follow at 11AM. Burial will be at Oley Cemetery in Spangsville.
