1991 – 2023

Francis Michael Kiefer, of Barto, passed away on October 24, 2023 after being involved in a fatal accident where he struck a deer while going to work.

Francis was born on September 18, 1991 in Pottstown, PA. He graduated from Boyertown High School in 2010. After he graduated, Francis worked for Asplundh. After completing his apprenticeship with the Local 126, he went to work for Henkels and McCoy as a union lineman. Francis was well-liked by his union brothers and affectionately known as FRAAAANNNNK. Francis was a devoted husband and father who was passionate about his family and his hobbies. He was known for his wit and generosity, and was always up for a good laugh. On the weekends, he could often be found taking his family to Target or enjoying seasonal activities with them. Francis was devoted to his wife, Samantha, whom he married on October 19, 2018, and they recently celebrated their 5th wedding anniversary.

Francis is survived by his wife Samantha; daughters Gracelynn, Mackenzie, and Lydia; his mother and father, Eileen and Bill Kiefer; siblings Stephanie Lock, Danielle (Mike) Glace, and Bill Kiefer (Krissi); and his aunts and uncle, Susan (Jim) Bell, Jake Wiltshire, and Jim (Angela) Beecher; and loved by numerous nieces, nephews, and a great nephew. Francis was preceded in death by Nanny, Jean Beecher; Poppop, Kenneth Hornberger. A Memorial Service for Francis Kiefer will be held at Friendship Hook and Ladder, 10 Warwick Street, Boyertown, PA 19512 on Saturday, November 4, 2023. Visitation will be from 9 AM to 11 AM, with the services taking place from 11 AM to 12 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the GoFundMe Memorial Fund for Francis Kiefer.

  7. Dear bill and Eileen I’m so sorry for your loss I just found out today Sam texted me I remember the flyers pens stadium series game, Francis, me and you Bill went to and that was a great memory. I will always have with me with him. Miss him dearly. Can’t believe he’s gone was a great friend and coworker at Asplundh for four years going to miss him please keep in touch bill
