Anita C. (Friz) Stauffer, 76, wife of Elmer Stauffer, of Douglassville, passed away on Friday, September 22, 2023 at her residence at Keystone Villa.
Born in Pottstown, Anita was the daughter of the late Raymond Friz and Mary Friz, she was also stepdaughter of the late Arline (Hoff) Friz.
Anita was a 1965 graduate of Boyertown Area High School. She went on to work as a teacher’s aide at Boyertown High School. She was a former member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Sassamansville where she used to teach Sunday School.
Anita was a very creative person. She loved ceramics, crocheting, and flower arranging. She was an excellent cake decorating, making many birthday and wedding cakes. She was an avid bowler and golfer. Anita enjoyed reading, gardening, and board games. For forty years she would meet her friends monthly for a game of cards.
Surviving in addition to her husband, is one daughter, Tara Mushinski, and one son, Michael Stauffer, fiancée of Christiana Frederick; as well as three grandchildren: Taylor Mushinski, Jon Mushinski, significant other of Maddie Ortiz, and Grace Frederick. Anita is also survived by a son in Law, Jon Mushinski; three sisters: Natalie Eshbach, wife of Elmo; Carol Gunzelmann, wife of Don; Sandy Werstler, wife of Alan; as well as one brother, Raymond Friz, husband of Judy, and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to a viewing on Thursday evening, September 28, 2023 from 6:30PM to 8PM at Morrell Funeral Home 124 W. Philadelphia Ave. Boyertown, PA 19512. On Friday, September 29, 2023 there will be another viewing from 10AM to 11AM at the funeral home followed by a funeral service at 11AM.
There will be no burial at this time.
