Sylvia S. (Heckman) Morrell, 78, of Boyertown, passed away at home on Sunday, August 13, 2023.

Born in Pottstown, she was the daughter of the late Charles Heckman and Alice (Houck) Heckman.

Sylvia was a 1963 graduate of Boyertown Area High School.

Sylvia most recently worked at Freed’s Super Market. She was a former co-owner at Boyertown Craft Shoppe, and was a teacher at Faulkner Swamp Preschool.

Sylvia is survived by two sons: Raymond S. Morrell, husband of Robyn, and Randall S. Morrell, and four granddaughters, and two grandsons. She was also survived by two sisters, Cynthia, wife of Carter Moyer; and Linda, widow of Stephen Jones, and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by two brothers, Ronald Heckman, and Gene Heckman.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Friday, September 8, 2023, from 10AM to 11AM at Morrell Funeral Home, 124 W. Philadelphia Ave Boyertown, PA 19512. A memorial service will follow at 11AM.

Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery in Boyertown.

Family and friends are asked to dress casually for comfort.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Sylvia’s memory to New Hanover Evangelical Lutheran Church Music Program at 2941 Lutheran Rd Gilbertsville, PA 19525.
