Janice L. (Treichler) Hartman, 77, wife of Dennis L. Hartman, of Bechtelsville, passed away on Friday, July 7, 2023 at Reading Hospital.

Born in Zionsville, Janice was the only daughter of Stanley H. Treichler and Anna Mae (Lagler) Treichler.

Janice was a 1964 graduate of Emmaus High School and went on to work for over thirty years at Judson A. Smith Company until her retirement.

Janice was an active member of both New Goshenhoppen United Church of Christ and Grace Baptist Church in Gilbertsville. She enjoyed vacationing at the beach and going out for “breakfast with the girls.”

Surviving in addition to her husband are three sons: Jonathan Hartman, husband of Jessie; Craig Hartman, spouse of Darren Clossin; and Ryan Hartman, as well as three granddaughters: Anna, Aubrey, and Bridget. Janice is also survived by four brothers: Jeremiah Treichler, Jeffrey Treichler, Jerome Treichler, and James Treichler, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Janice is predeceased by four brothers: Joel Treichler, Jacob Treichler, John Treichler, and Jason Treichler.

Family and friends are invited to a viewing on Thursday, July 13, 2023 from 10AM to 11AM at Grace Baptist Church 447 County Line Rd, Gilbertsville, PA 19525. A funeral service will follow at 11AM.

Burial will be at New Goshenhoppen Church Cemetery.
