Betty  A. Ritter

Betty A. (Dierolf) Ritter, 92, widow of Norman H. Ritter, Jr., of Boyertown, passed away on Sunday, July 9, 2023, in Phoenixville Hospital. She spent the last several months of her life at Frederick Living.

Born in New Hanover, Betty was the daughter of the late Charles Dierolf and Edna (Herbein) Dierolf.  Betty worked several jobs throughout her life. She worked for ten years as an examiner for Misty Lingerie in Boyertown, eleven years as an assembler for Stanley Flag in Pottstown, and twelve years working multiple positions at Boyertown Inn. Betty went back to school earning her GED at the age of 70.

Betty was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Bechtelsville. She was a member of The Ladies Auxiliary at Friendship Hook and Ladder, and a member of Spring St. Senior Center.  Betty enjoyed spending time with her family and was an avid bingo player. In her younger years she enjoyed taking bus trips.
Betty is predeceased by her daughter Brenda Eshbach and survived by two sons: Harold D. Eshbach of Baltimore and David D. Eshbach of Wernersville. She is also survived by four grandchildren: Brian Eshbach, Cody Eshbach, Riley Eshbach, and Stacey Ward-Derk, as well as four great grandchildren: Devon Eshbach, Stephen Struss, Dallas Struss, Dawson Struss, with another great grandchild on the way. Plus a great-great grandchild is also on the way.

Family and friends are invited to a viewing on Friday, July 14, 2023 from 10AM to 11AM at Morrell Funeral Home 124 W. Philadelphia Ave Boyertown, PA 19512. A funeral service will follow at 11AM.
Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery in Boyertown.

  2. Betty will be missed by all those who were fortunate enough to have known her. She was always so very kind and caring for others. May God’s perfect peace and comfort go with you in the days moving forward.

  3. Harold, David, and family ~ We were saddened to hear the news about Betty, as the events over the last month seemed to have happened so very quickly. We always enjoyed conversing with her and Norm, as they were both very considerate and caring. Knowing that Betty’s again united with Norm will help provide us all with some solace.
