William "Bill" J. Yanalavage, Jr.

William “Bill” J. Yanalavage, Jr., 64, husband of Donna (Lutz) Yanalavage, of Boyertown, passed away on Saturday, June 24, 2023 at Lehigh Valley Hospital.

Born in Philadelphia, Bill was the son of Margaretta (Hoster) Yanalavage and the late William J. Yanalavage, Sr.

Bill was a 1977 graduate of Boyertown Area High School and went on to earn his Bachelor’s from Temple University.

Bill worked as a mechanical engineer at SPS Technologies for forty-two years.

Bill was an active member of Christ Episcopal Church in Pottstown. He loved all things Disney, as well as music, piano, and woodworking.

In addition to his wife and his mother, Bill is survived by his three daughters: Renee Hugar, wife of Aaron, Lesa Yanalavage, and Amy Yanalavage. Bill is also survived by six grandchildren: Arron, Brayden, Graice, Taylor, Dylan, and Westley, as well as one sister, Deborah Fronheiser, wife of Ricky; and Rex, the family dog.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Saturday, July 22, 2023 from 10AM to 11AM at Christ Episcopal Church 316 E. High St. Pottstown, PA 19464. A memorial service will follow at 11AM.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bill’s name to Christ Episcopal Church at the address above.

Inurnment will be private at a later date.

  1. Although I did not know Bill, I do know Lesa loved her father very much. May God‘s love sustain you until you see each other again, it’s an honor to witness such love and devotion. I’m so sorry for your loss

  2. There are no words that can summarize how important Bill was to the lives of so many. Sending so much love to the Yanalavage family during this time.

  3. Although I never had the opportunity to meet Bill in person, I heard of him through his wonderful daughter Lesa. You can tell he raised an incredible daughter, as she is kind, patient, selfless, and more. I hope his light shines through Lesa and the rest of his family during this tough time.
