Ernest R. Conrad, 83, widower of Florence (Halley) Conrad, husband of Virginia (Schneider) Conrad, passed away at home on Tuesday, November 29, 2022. He was formerly from Boyertown and resided in Zieglerville.

Born in Colebrookdale, Ernest was the son of the late Ernest Calvin Conrad and Ethel (Nester) Bainbridge. He was a stepson to the late George Bainbridge.

Ernie was a 1957 graduate of Boyertown Area High School. He worked in the security department at Firestone Tire and Rubber Co., before going on to work for Occidental Chemical Co. until his retirement.

Ernie was a life member of Boyertown Lodge #741 Free & Accepted Masons. He was also a life member of Gilbertsville Fire Company. Ernest was a Boyertown Legion Baseball supporter for many years. In his early years, Ernie was a member of the Road Knights Car Club.

In addition to his wife of twenty years, surviving are two daughters: Robin L. Conrad; Bambi Crawford, wife of Greg Crawford; and stepson Mark French, husband of Amy French. Ernest is also survived by two grandsons, Ryan Crawford, Brian French; a granddaughter, Katherine French; two sisters, E. Rebecca Hollowbush, widow of Donald, and Judith Forsythe, wife of Robert.
