George Freyer, Jr., 89, of Gilbertsville, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 3, 2022 at Pottstown Hospital.

Born in Douglass Township, George was the son of the late George Freyer, Sr. and Lizzie (Mutter) Freyer.

George attended Boyertown Area High School and served in the army. He worked for many years as a foreman at Boise Cascade, formerly Pillsbury,  and eventually retired from there.

George was an avid Nascar fan, and loved the company of his cats.  He enjoyed being outdoors, and loved gardening.  In his earlier years, he liked to hunt and fish, and also did carpentry and woodworking.

George is survived by two daughters; Martyne Moyer, wife of Scott D. Moyer and Lynn Fegley, wife of Ron L. Fegley, as well as two sons; Darryl Freyer, and Alan Freyer. He is also survived by six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

George is predeceased by an infant brother, Richard.

Burial will be private.
