Timothy A. Day

Timothy A. Day, 74, husband of Donna E. (Stauffer) Day, of Lyon Station, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, October 3, 2022.
Born in Reading, Timothy was the son of the late Paul B. and Dolores (Miller) Day, and late step-mother Mildred Day.
Tim was a 1966 graduate of Milton Hershey High School and a graduate of Stonier School of Banking.
After forty-five years of banking, he ended his career as Regional President of National Penn Bank.
Tim was a dedicated family man who loved spending time with his children, grandchildren and family dogs. He was a previous member of the glee club and choir. When he was younger, he enjoyed playing tennis and golf. In his retirement he became an avid fan of Netflix’s crime shows. Timothy had a love of car shopping and vacationing with an ocean view. He enjoyed hanging with the gang and drinking Manhattans and smoking cigars. Tim was a past member of the Bowers Lions Club, and a lifetime member of the Maidencreek Fish Pond.
In addition to his wife, Timothy is survived by three daughters: Erica McNertney, wife of Brian, Avery Bandish, wife of Jon, and Maegan Harrison, wife of William, as well as one son in law, Mike Hoy, widower of Suzanne. He is also survived by 4 ½ grandchildren: Brody McNertney, Lauryn Hoy, Laiken Hoy, Liam Harrison, and Baby Bandish, expected to arrive January 2023.
Timothy was predeceased by one daughter, Suzanne Hoy, as well as one brother, David Day.
A viewing will be held from 10AM to 11AM on Monday, October 10, 2022 at
Trinity Lutheran Church 1749 S. Main Street Bechtelsville, PA 19505. A funeral service will follow at 11AM. Burial will be private at a later date.

  1. A sad goodbye, to a wonderful guy, husband, father and grandfather, and friend. He was a very caring person, always ready with a smile and a funny story.
    He will be missed by all who knew him.

  2. We only knew Tim for about 2 years as He was Our neighbor. He was always ready with a Hello, how are You. We looked forward to seeing Him sitting on His porch smoking his cigar. Last year when My car was in the garage having body work done and we had to drive a rental for 2 months, Tim asked me are You buying that car, I repleid with as much as I been paying I should own it, He alway’s had a sense of humor. Bob and I will miss You Tim.

    Rick and I were so sorry to hear of Tim’s passing. You are all in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Hopefully you can find some peace in knowing there is no longer any pain and suffering and Tim has been welcomed into the loving arms of Jesus Christ in Heaven. Peace be with all of you.

  8. Tim was not only a friend, he was my best friend. He and I from the 6th grade on had some amazing times together. Our families were intertwined and we loved every minute we spent together. I was so blessed to have some time with him before he passed. He was a quality individual and those are rare. I am crushed at his passing but the pain and suffering is over. May God’s hand comfort his family at this difficult time.

  11. I only had the pleasure of meeting Tim a few times. My nephew Will is married to Maeghan and we are Will’s family from the state of Indiana. He was such a great host at their wedding and very friendly and welcoming every time we saw him. Our deepest sympathy to Donna and his beautiful daughters. You are all in our thoughts & prayers during this difficult time.

    Tim was a good friend (along with you!) and he was my favorite/best boss during my banking career that lasted 29 years.
