Charles R. Conrad Jr., 89, of Bally, widower of Carrie I. (Dierolf) Conrad, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 26, 2022 at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown.  

Born in Hoffmansville, he was the son of the late Charles M. and Alice (Renninger) Conrad.  

Charlie was self-employed for many years as a mechanic at his gas and service station in Palm.  He was a Sergeant in the Army and served in the Korean War.  

He enjoyed tinkering with anything that didn’t work, taking care of his lawn, riding his bike, spending time with his family and daily trips to McDonald’s.  He was a member of St. Joseph’s Hill Lutheran Church.  

Surviving are two sons, Mark Conrad, husband of Ann, Timothy Conrad, husband of Deb; one daughter, Deborah, wife of Al Eck; two sisters, Rosemarie Simmons and Shirley Miklosovic; grandsons, Ryan, Chad, Cory, Landon, and Josh; great-granddaughter, Riley and great-grandson, Theilan.  

He was predeceased by one brother, George Conrad.  

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service on Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at 11:00AM at St. Joseph’s Hill Lutheran Church, 244 Koch Road, Boyertown, PA.  A viewing will be held from 10:00 – 11:00AM at the church prior to the service.  Burial will be in Hill Church Cemetery.  

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Charlie’s memory to St. Joseph’s Hill Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, 244 Koch Road, Boyertown, PA 19512.
