Harold L. Mest Jr., 82, husband of Ruth M. (Weidner) Mest, of Boyertown, passed away on Saturday, September 24, 2022 at Reading Hospital.

Born in Boyertown, he was the son of the late Annie M. (Smith) Mest and Harold L. Mest Sr.

Harold was a 1958 graduate of Boyertown Senior High School.  He was self-employed and the owner of Harold’s Auto Service for thirty plus years.  He also was a longtime security guard and Santa Claus at Zern’s Market.

He was a member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Boyertown.

Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters, Annie Rhoads and Kayleigh Mest; one grandson, Corey Rhoads and one granddaughter, Kari Rhoads along with one sister, Erna Vroman.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
