Ida Mae Piersol

Ida Mae Piersol, 88, widow of Leonard Warren Piersol, of Boyertown, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, August 16, 2022.

Born in Oley Township, Ida was the daughter of the late Lester D. Houp and Katie (Strunk) C. Houp.

Ida worked at Osans for over forty-five years as a sewing operator.

Ida is survived by three sons, Warren L. Piersol, William M. Piersol, husband of Judy, and Matthew L. Piersol as well as one daughter, Diane Piersol Moore, wife of William, Sr. She is also survived by four grandchildren: William A. Moore, Jr., husband of Jessica,  Audrey (Moore) Bentley, wife of Alex,  Laura Moore, and Aaron Piersol;  two great grandchildren, Kayleigh and Owen Bentley as well as three brothers, James, Leon and Carl and two sisters, Annie and Esther.

Ida is predeceased by one son, Mark Piersol.

Family and friends are invited to a graveside service at Fairview Cemetery in Boyertown on  Friday, August 19, 2022 at 1:30pm.

In lieu of flowers, people may make a donation in Ida’s name to the charity of their choice.

Please dress casual and comfortable for the weather.

  8. Sorry to hear. We will surely miss her. I will remember her , I will always the time I talked to her at the dinner at Breakfast with my Mom and Dad. We always had some laughs. My prayers go out to all the children I know she will be missed.
