  4. My condolences to Marcie’s family. Unfortunately her wonderful life ended with a struggle. Marcie was one of my best friends in college, and even though I had not seen her for years, I was in communication with her until she was unable to respond. I will miss her.

  5. Dear Carl, family and friends of Marcie
I am so sorry for your loss. I went to college with Marcie and we have been friends for many years and have kept in touch through the years. There were many fun times with Jean, Helene, Barb, Marcie and me playing tennis, golfing and going out to eat. Needless to say we laughed alot. I miss those times and I have missed Marcie. I will always remember her and always miss her. God bless you all.

  6. I met Marcie in the spring of 1972 when I did my student teaching under her guidance. She was a great influence on my teaching career. As a matter of fact, she “gave” me her job. When she went out on maternity leave, she got in touch with me to let me know about the job opening. She also told me that she wouldn’t be returning to teaching if all went well with the pregnancy. Fortunately the pregnancy went well and I ended up taking Marcie’s position at Twin Valley for the next 27 years. Marcie taught me a lot about teaching, working with kids, and life in general. I will be forever grateful for having her as my mentor. My condolences to her family. Rest in peace Marcie!

  7. Marcie was a very special friend and a treasured Moon Sister. She was such a kind person and so much fun to be with. I will always remember our many dinners together with the Moon Sisters and our many trips that always included unforgettable experiences. My best wishes to go out to her whole family who I know she loved. Thank you all for taking care of my dear friend right up to her sad passing. She is probably looking down on us and missing us as much as we all miss her. Thank you, Marcie, for being the wonderful person you were and for being a great part of my life.

  9. Dear Carl and Marcie’s family, It is with a sad, sad heart that I write this condolence. Marcie was my neighbor, classmate, and wonderful life-long friend for 70 years. We shared life’s joys and rewards as well as disappointments and hardships. I could count on Marcie’s understanding, her wit, and her humor to listen and offer support. Marcie was a loved friend and a loving friend especially in our Moon River Mama’s group which met every year to catch up, reminisce, and celebrate b-days. It would be Marcie’s turn tomorrow. Marcie had an infectious laugh and a penchant for silliness which we loved. How grateful and blessed I am to have had her as my life-long friend. Missing her.

  10. To Carl, Jeb and Craig,
I am so sorry to have learned that Marcie, a Moon River Mama passed, and I am sending my sincere prayers and condolences to you and your families.
I met Marcie in 9th grade where we attended classes together, played after school sports together, and most of laughed together at social gatherings. Her smile and quick wit is what I remember the most.
Marcie and I both attended West Chester University where I was in awe when she was selected for the All Americal Hockey team and traveled all over the world. What a star player she was and I was so honored to have
played on her team in high school.
I will miss her but know that three other Moon River Mama’s have welcomed her with open arms. Marcie, love you always and cherish the many memories we made together.

  11. As far back as junior high, I admired Marcie. She excelled at every sport. She could hit any moving object with bat, stick or club — a skill that has eluded me forever. And she was smart, too. I remember in algebra class, she could always find “x.” while the rest of us just declared it a missing person. But most of all, she was very, very nice. All these things she retained throughout her life until Alzheimer’s stole them from her, and then stole her from us. I am sorry for her family, but I’m sorry for all of us. We have been robbed, and I will miss her very much. Marcie has always been a class act. I’m glad she toured the world with the hockey team because she represented America at its best.

  12. Uncle Carl, Jed, and Craig.

I am so very sorry to hear about Aunt Marcie. My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this difficult time.
