Grace P. Burkert, 94, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 17, 2022.

Grace is survived by her children, Gary L. Hobert, Diane L. Mackin (Hobert) and a stepdaughter, Marcia Stark (Burkert); sisters Betty Smoker and June Stremba; grandsons, Matthew Hobert and Andrew Hobert; great grandchildren, Scarlett, James, and Wesley; and many nieces and nephews.

She was the wife of the late Harold Burkert (dcd. 1998) and the late Herbert L. Hobert (dcd. 1972). She also was preceded in death by her siblings, Douglas, Harvey, and Evelyn.

Grace enjoyed trips to the beaches at Ocean city, Maryland and Rehoboth, Delaware with her young family. She loved her flower garden and making Christmas very special for her family, especially her two grandsons. She is a member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church of Boyertown. She was employed as a seamstress in the 1940’s at Shuwalls in Pottstown and later as a seamstress at the H&R Mfg. Co. in Boyertown.

  1. So sorry for your loss on earth of Grace, but I have every confidence that she is enjoying a rich and full eternal life in Heaven. She is rejoicing in her new abilities to love and laugh and serve her Lord in new ways. I am sure she is talking to her Saviour all the time about her beloved family on earth. God bless you all.

    Thank you for your words of comfort. Healing of our broken hearts will take time but we deeply know that my mother was ready to leave her earthly body and be with her God.
