Janet E. Deloplaine

Janet E. (Renninger) Deloplaine, 99, widow of Kenneth Deloplaine, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 26, 2021, at Frederick Living continuing care retirement community.

Born in Philadelphia, Janet was the daughter of the late Charles Renninger and Helen (Grubb) Renninger.

Mrs. Deloplaine was an active member of the New Hanover Evangelical Lutheran Church of Gilbertsville where she is remembered for her time as Sunday School pianist, teacher, and camp counselor for Camp Faulkner. She was also a member of the church council, and an integral part of the Great Swamp Picnic held each August.

Janet also worked as a bookkeeper for Spence Ford in Bechtelsville and Allen Ashcroft DDM in Bally.

Janet was an avid golfer, playing in leagues at Twin Ponds Golf Course in Gilbertsville as well as other local courses. When she moved into Frederick Living, she stayed active playing Wii golf well into her 80’s.

Janet is survived by her son in law, John Zuchero, her grandsons J. Bradley Zuchero and Andrew Kenneth Zuchero and her three great grandchildren, as well as three younger sisters: She was predeceased by a daughter, Sandra L. Zuchero.

The family has requested that remembrances be made in the form of contributions to Mother Goose: Read to Me, a non-profit established by Janet’s late daughter. Donations may be made online at www.mothergoosereadtome.org.
