Betty Marie Musser

Betty Marie Musser

Betty Marie Levengood Musser, who inspired us with her deep loyalty to family and community, who dedicated herself to always welcoming and providing care for so many others, was at home surrounded by the comfort and love of her adoring family when she became an angel in heaven on Monday, September 6, 2021.

Her journey began on August 29, 1955.  Her early years were joyously spent with her parents Arlene and Stu Levengood and her four sisters, Carol, Karen, Diane, and Lorie.   After graduating from Boyertown High School in 1973, she was gifted two wonderful children, Bob and Brandi. Her family grew to include Tracy and Nicole when she married Eugene Musser.  They celebrated their silver anniversary on August 3, 2021. As with all families, their family grew to include Todd, Duane, and Becky when their children married. Their treasures grew greater with the addition of grandchildren, Tommy, Kathrynne, Keegan, Jaden, Jayce, Jeffrey, Brittany, Alexis, Kayla, Nina and William. Their family expanded again with a great-grandchild, Sophia.  She nurtured another very special family for 35 years serving as the Office Manager for the Douglass Township Police Department. Some may say she ran the Police Department.

Her memorable life includes spending her time surrounded by sunrises, the ocean and soaking up sunshine with friends and family at various beaches, her cherished sister weekends, family camping trips, holiday picnics, and annual trips to the Outer Banks. She loved leading her team at many Relay For Life events, playing dominoes and bingo with her family, and filling their home and life with all treasures in shades of purple.

She was an active member of St. Luke Lutheran Church, Gilbertsville, devoted to her Christian family serving on numerous committees.

Betty’s beautiful soul, teachings and legacy will live on in all of those who call her Wife, Sister, Mom, Aunt Bet, Grammie, Boop and Friend.  She will be forever missed by all who knew her.  May we all remember her smile, her laugh, her kindness and her warm embracing hugs.  May we all lead such a blessed life.
She was preceded in death by an infant sister and brother, her mother and father, and grandsons Jayce Weller and Jeffrey Kane.

A celebration of her blessed life will be held at 11:00 A.M., Monday, Sept. 13, at St. Luke Lutheran Church (35 Wilson Avenue, Gilbertsville, Pennsylvania 19525), of which Betty was a devout member.  Friends and family will be received from 9:30 – 11:00AM prior to the service.  Services will be livestreamed on Facebook page: St. Luke Lutheran Church Gilbertsville, PA.  Please know face masks must be worn. She will be laid to rest on Tuesday, September 14 at noon in Troxelville Union Cemetery, Troxelville PA

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Mission Endowment Fund of St. Luke Lutheran Church (P.O. Box 338, Gilbertsville, Pennsylvania 19525) as well as Lehigh Valley Health Network’s John and Dorothy Morgan Cancer Center (1240 S. Cedar Crest Boulevard, Allentown, Pennsylvania 18103).
