8 Condolences
  1. My deepest condolences to the whole family. Steve was a kind and caring man who touched all who knew him. His creative talents were exceptional. I had the honor of eating many of his glorious creations for many years at the Inn and shared all of our family’s special occations at his tables – from birthdays, anniversaries and our son’s wedding breakfast. He created beautiful floral arrangements for my home that graced the entrance for 20 years and was honored to be a guest in his home as he was in mine. Rest now, Steve, you lived a beautiful life and deserve the peace you have now found.

  2. My condolences to The family of Steve. I met Steve about 10 yrs ago and though we didn’t talk daily, we did become close friends. The last couple years or so we’re rough for Steve with his health. Though I will miss him, I am grateful he is no longer suffering. Happy he is at peace now.

  5. Thank you Janet for your kind words. Steve was an important part of my life for many years. I have taken him in to my home many times when he had nowhere to go. He called me after his 4 months in Philadelphia with a live in nurse and said can I come to your place. He was here 2 weeks before he went into hospice. I will cherish then many years that we spent together. Thank you for taking care of him at the Wound Care center.

  7. I had the pleasure of working at the Oley Valley Inn during my high school years. Steve was always gracious, helpful, and patient with us, as newcomers to a higher end hospitality setting. Learned ALOT from that place, and I believe it helped me greatly in my future hospitality career. Condolences to Barry, and everyone else.

  8. I will miss Steve’s friendship, kindness, and humor. He was a true friend. We would reconnect after years and it was like we had seen each other yesterday.. An artist in food and flowers, his creations gave us a glimpse of the beauty he saw in simple things.
His love of family, friends and his pets gave him comfort to the end. I’m so glad to have spent a few hours with him on Friday 6/18 at Seasons Hospice.
Jayne and Ruth Ann I remember fun times when I worked with Steve a short while at Brookside. I hope you and your family have lasting love and memories equal to the strength of your mom’s booties.

    Sending my love a prayer.
    Betsy Cornell
