Wendy M. (Wood) Hess, 53, wife of Eric Hess, of Douglassville, passed away on Friday, March 12, 2021 at Phoenix Center.

Born in Boyertown, Wendy was the daughter of the late Edward Wood and Shirley (Engleman) Wood.

Wendy was a 1985 graduate of Boyertown High School and went on to work at Keystone Villa as a medical technician caregiver.

Wendy was a member of the Reading Moravian Church. She also loved animals and looked forward to her yearly trip to Chincoteague Island in Virginia. She also enjoyed family game nights. Wendy loved the Reading Phillies and dirt track racing. She also enjoyed music, especially Uncle Kracker and frequently liked to go to Gablesville Athletic Association with Eric.

In addition to her husband, Wendy is survived by her daughter, Kaitlyn (Cody Gaugler) as well as her new grandson, Elliott.

Family and friends are invited to a memorial service at 10 AM on Saturday, March 20, 2021. Friends and family will be received from 9am to 10am. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
