Arlene Eck

Arlene J. (Gabel) Eck, 80, wife of Richard H. Eck, of Boyertown, passed away on Friday, February 12, 2021 at her residence.

Born in Bechtelsville, she was the daughter of the late Mary Jane (Himmelwright) Gabel and Russell Gabel.

Arlene was a 1958 graduate of Boyertown High School.  She was employed by Weis Markets as a stock clerk for 30 years.

She was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Bechtelsville.

Surviving in addition to her husband are three daughters, Debra Lynn Conrad (Russell), Brenda Lee Mcilvee, Denise Kay Ellex (Terry); three grandchildren, Craig Mcilvee, Tara Smythe, Shannon Augustine and seven great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by one son, Jeffrey A. Eck and two sisters, Pauline Eshbach and Barbara Kuser.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her memorial service on Saturday, February 20, 2021 at 11:00AM at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1749 South Main Street, Bechtelsville, PA.  Burial will take place at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church Memorial Fund.

    Your folks were some of my earliest patients, probably you first, but all of you were so special to me. I brought my family here because I wanted this kind of environment, and the Ecks were a big part of my happiness. I was blessed to find you. Mom was always a neat visit, usually with Dolores, as were each of you. I hope I was not obnoxious with my words at the ceremony.
