James A. Seese

James A. Seese, 87, husband of Sharon (Emswiler) Seese, widower of Florence Seese, passed away on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at Frederick Living.

Born in Mainland, PA, James was the son of the late Russell Seese and Blanche (Price) Seese.

Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons: J. Alan, husband of Leslie, and Randall, husband of Caroline, as well as a brother, Bryan Seese, husband of Henrietta and a sister, Barbara Seese. James is also survived by three grandchildren: Brianna, Matthew, husband of Kristin, and Timothy as well as a stepdaughter Tracy, wife of Michael Mauger and daughters Caitlyn, Karen, Krista, and Kerri.

James had many varied jobs. He worked on the family farm growing up, he was a volunteer with BVS as an ice crem maker, he managed Speck’s Restaurant in Limerick for many years. He also worked with the Jewel Tea Company and later retired from Maier’s Bread Company.

Jim loved the outdoors with his John Deere tractor and tinkering in his garage. He especially enjoyed getting together with family, cousins, and his church friends.

Services will be private on January 30, 2021 at Indian Creek Church of the Brethren, Harleysville, PA.

  1. Jim was such a good friend from the time we first met him. We always enjoyed our time together. He called me his “buddy.” We will surely miss him, as we know his family will.
