Joseph M. Diachynsky

Joseph M. Diachynsky, 95, widower of Carolyn (Groff) Diachynsky, passed away on Monday, January 26, 2021 at Frederick Living.

Born in Niantic, Joseph was the son of the late Nicholas Diachynsky and Margaret (Masluch) Diachynsky.

Joseph enlisted in the Navy having served in World War 2, following his service to the country he worked as a mechanic, eventually retiring from Erb and Henry.

In their younger years, Joseph and Carolyn enjoyed traveling and later in life they took pleasure in taking long drives together. He was a member of Boyertown Rod and Gun Association and was an avid hunter and fisherman.

Joseph is survived by two sisters: Helen, wife of Clarence Levengood and Stella Landis as well as one brother, Nicholas, husband of Marlene. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Services at the funeral home will be private at the convenience of the family. Friends and family are invited to a graveside service on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at 12:00PM at Highland Memorial Park 701 Farmington Ave. Pottstown, PA 19464

In lieu of flowers, the family request that a donation be made to the charity of your choosing in Joseph’s memory.

  1. My dearest dearest uncle Joe I don’t even have the words to express how very much I love you and how grateful I am for the times we spent together. I remember Walking through your gardens and picking daffodils together. Looking at the Primrose come up that Caroline planted. Helping you clean up the house Sharing a cuppa coffee and donuts.
    I’ve prayed to God and I know you are flying to heaven with aunt Carolyn.
    I placed a crucifix at the feet of the Virgin Mary here in Bridgeport Ukrainian catholic church. With intentions to be said at our Ukrainian Catholic church here in Bridgeport this weekend.
    It is a beautiful little grotto I Believe you were sitting with me on the bench there the other day Wednesday as I was praying.
    I think of you so often.

  2. I never really got to spend much time with Uncle Joe, but my fondest memory will always be seeing him and all the other men gathered to play pinochle at family reunions. Rest peacefully now with aunt Carolyn by your side once more.
