Linnette S. Harley

Linnette (Stauffer) Harley, age 75, Boyertown, passed away after a brief illness on August 13, 2020, at the Reading Hospital Rehabilitation at Wyomissing.
Linette lived most of her life in Boyertown, graduating in 1963 from Boyertown High School, and returning after earning her degree in Library Science in 1967 from Kutztown University. She married her high school sweetheart, John, and raised her beloved daughter Kim, and a host of horses and animals on their farm near Pine Forge. She was a devoted mother and horse-show mom, and never missed a competition where her horses or daughter were showing. She spent many hours covered in sweat and Showsheen through the summer months.
Linnette worked as a school librarian, most recently in Antietam School District. In her retirement, she enjoyed caring for animals, going to the beach, reading suspense novels, excursions to theater productions with her friends, but most of all was a fervent fan of Andrea Bocelli. She attended nearly every concert of his that toured in the northeast USA and followed his activities on the internet when he wasn’t touring.
She will be deeply missed by her family and her many friends.
She is survived by her husband John, their daughter Kim Leppold, wife of Dan. Linnette is also survived by her brother Gary Stauffer, and numerous nieces and nephews.

  7. Uncle John and cousin Kim and family – my heart goes out to you and I struggle with words to express my sincerest condolences, I have many fond memories of our family visits and dinners at the farm which I cherish. My last visit with Aunt Linnette was of course at a Bocelli concert several years ago. Aunt Linnette and I shared a mutual love of Andreas beautiful music …..although clearly she was a SUPER ( borderline stalker I told her and she was proud to claim that title) . She delighted in educating me that night on so many details including his dogs name. It warms my heart that Kim was with her and listening to his music as she passed as I am 100% sure that was what she would have wanted. I and my family are thinking
of you all with much love ❤️
