Robert P. Wolfgang, 78, husband of Louise (Yoder) Wolfgang, of Bechtelsville, passed away on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at Pottstown Hospital.
Born in Gilbertsville, he was the son of the late Sarah G. (Heimbach) Wolfgang and Ralph R. Wolfgang.
Robert was a 1958 graduate of Boyertown Senior High School. He was employed by N.W. Control in Harleysville as a Quality Control Manager and was also a carpenter for Weller and Updegrove. .
Robert served in the Army. He was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Bechtelsville. He was a member of F & AM Blue Lodge, #741 in Boyertown, PA.
Surviving in addition to his wife of 56 years are one daughter, Vanessa G., wife of Richard Deskie; two sons, Robert P. Wolfgang, Jr., husband of Gina and Peter A. Wolfgang, husband of Kathryn; three sisters, Shirley, wife of Ronald Shoemaker, Rochelle, wife of William Leneave and Sarah Marie, wife of Thomas Flood; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and loving nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by two brothers, Ralph R. Wolfgang II and Randall L. Wolfgang.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, 1749 South Main Street, Bechtelsville, PA 19505.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at 11:00AM at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1749 South Main Street, Bechtelsville, PA. Relatives and friends will be received from 10:00 – 10:45AM followed by a Masonic Service.
