William G. Montgomery, husband of Evelyn J. (Andrews) Montgomery, of Honey Brook, passed away on Thursday, November 8, 2018.
Born in Darby, PA, he was the son of the late Mildred B. (Reese) Montgomery and Thomas A. Montgomery.
William was a 1950 graduate of Darby High School. He also graduated from the University of Missouri with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and from Penn State University with a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering. He was a 1st Lieutenant in the Air Force during the Korean War. William retired from a position as Chief Engineer at General Electric Company in Valley Forge after 29 years of service.
He was a member of Fairview Evangelical Presbyterian Church. He was also a member of the American Legion in Boyertown.
Surviving in addition to his wife are three sons, Harry A. Montgomery, Mark S. Montgomery and his wife Patricia, David T. Montgomery and his wife Stephanie; one daughter, Lynn M. Mancinelli; two sisters, Janice Kitson and Doris Sacharok and her husband Walter; and six grandchildren, Marisa, Michael, Meredith, Lauren, William and Matthew.
He was predeceased by one brother, Thomas R. Montgomery.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at 11:30AM at Tel Hai Chapel, 1200 Tel Hai Circle, Honey Brook, PA 19344. Relatives and friends will be received from 10:30AM till the time of the service.
