Janet L. (Hileman) Conrad, 88, of Boyertown passed away on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 in Manor Care- Pottstown. She was the widow of Robert H. Conrad. Born in Bloomsburg, she was the daughter of the late Eston W. Hileman and the late Dorothy (Weller) Hileman.
Janet was a 1948 graduate of Bloomsburg High School. She also was a secondary Honor Society recipient.
Janet volunteered as a girl scout leader in Pine Forge for 14 years. She was judge of elections for 27 years. She was a former president & secretary of Pine Forge PTA. She also was a snack bar volunteer at Bear Stadium for 15 years.
She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Boyertown where she was a Sunday School teacher and also WELCA member.
She was a member and former member of Boyertown Lions Club. Boyertown Salvation Army where she was a board emeritus. She was inducted into the PA Voter Hall of Fame where she was honored for voting 50 years in General Elections.
Mrs. Conrad is survived by a daughter, Melanie S., of Boyertown and a brother Ronald Hileman, husband of Clare, Murrell’s Inlet, SC., many nephews and nieces and great nephews and great nieces, as well as her grand cat, Kirby Conrad.
A memorial service has been scheduled for Saturday, September 22, 2018 at 11:00am at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 45 North Reading Ave., Boyertown, PA. 19512.
