Larry E. Schell

Larry E. Schell, 84, husband of Jean M. (Moyer) Schell, of Frederick, passed away on Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at his residence.
Born in Fullerton, PA, he was the son of the late Verna P. (Miller) Schell and Harvey P. Schell.
Larry graduated from Boyertown High School and was a 1959 graduate from Bloomsburg State College with a degree in business. He served in the Army during the Korean War. He was a co-owner with his wife, Jean of Reppert’s Candy for 32 years and prior to that worked in banking.
Larry was a member of Good Shepherd UCC. He was a former Rotarian and past president. He also was a past president of the Retail Confectioner’s Association of Philadelphia. He was an avid Philadelphia and Penn State sports fan.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons, Keith A. Schell, husband of Jennifer and Kenneth A. Schell, husband of Jesse; four granddaughters, Anastasia, Avery, Mazzy and Indya.
He was predeceased by two sisters, Betty Mae and Dauris Ann and one brother, Richard.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 6, 2018 at 11:00AM at Morrell Funeral Home, Inc., 124 W. Philadelphia Avenue, Boyertown, PA. Relatives and friends will be received from 9:30AM to 11:00AM.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to Good Shepherd UCC Memorial Fund, 35 West Philadelphia Ave, Boyertown, PA 19512 or Frederick Living-Resident Benevolence Fund, PO Box 498, Frederick, PA 19435.
