Mary Ann (Windish) Hess, 77, wife of Lenus D. Hess, passed away on July 25, 2018 at her residence.
Born in Topton, she was the daughter of the late Estella (Miller) Windish and Charles Windish.
Mary was a 1959 graduate of Brandywine Heights High School. She was employed by Boyertown Casket Company for 25 years as a shipper. She also worked at Weis Supermarket in Gilbertsville in the deli department for 18 years.
Mary was a life member of the Friendship Hook and Ladder Fire Co., Ladies Auxiliary in Boyertown and a member of the Liberty Fire Co., Ladies Auxiliary in New Berlinville
Surviving in addition to her husband of 54 years are two sons, Brian L., husband of Patricia A. of Maine and Eric D., husband of Wendy M. of Douglassville; two grandsons, Brandon and Corey; one step granddaughter, Kaitlyn; one brother, Dennis Miller, husband of Bea and one sister in law, Roberta Windish.
She was predeceased by one daughter, Jody L. Hess and one brother, George Windish.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 2, 2018 at 11AM at Morrell Funeral Home, Inc., 124 W. Philadelphia Avenue, Boyertown, PA. Relatives and friends will be received from 10 to 11AM. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in her memory to Friendship Hook and Ladder Fire Co. of Boyertown.
