John Keller Reed, 64, of Boyertown, passed away on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at Reading Hospital-Tower Health.
Born in Douglass Township, he was the son of the late Janet (Keller) Reed and Edward Reed.
John went to Boyertown High School and was employed at C. S. Garber Well Drilling for thirty plus years.
He was a member of Good Shepherd UCC. John was an avid sports fan. He loved playing basketball and enjoyed following the Boyertown Legion baseball team.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at 11:00AM at Morrell Funeral Home Inc., 124 W. Philadelphia Avenue, Boyertown, PA. A viewing will be held from 10 to 11AM at the funeral home. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to Good Shepherd UCC Memorial Fund, 35 West Philadelphia Avenue, Boyertown, PA 19512.

I have known John since we were children. John was a kind and caring man. My mother and Janet grew up in Dayton, OH together. From the 70’s to the mid 90’s my family came to Boyertown every September. I will miss talking to John. He is out of pain and at peace and in a better place.
I can’t believe your gone. As we were passing the house today my daughter beeped then I noticed the for sale sign. We looked it up and found you had passed away. I will always remember the fun times in the fields and especially your birthday when we drew an ATV on your cake. I’ll remember also your dad, mom and aunt Marion. I’m sorry I did not know you were ill. I would have stopped more often. Rest peacefully John. See you on the flip side.
