William D. Souders. 91, husband of Virginia (Angstadt) Souders, of York, PA, passed away at home, on Monday, October 19, 2026.

Born in Reading, PA, William was the son of the late William J. Souders, and Lillian (Krow) Souders.

William served in the United States Air Force for fourteen years, after serving he worked as a manager for Nationwide Insurance.

William is a member of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church in Oley. He was very active in sports in his younger years, and loved card games, especially Bridge.

In addition to his wife of seventy-one years, William is survived by four children: Diane Rishel, wife of Joe; Doug Souders; Denise Mahen, wife of Kevin; and Doreen Engle, widow of Wayne; as well as six grandchildren: Jonathan Souders, Julie Barnes Emily Schloffer, Andrew Reichart, Meghan Willis, and Joshua Engle. He is also survived by twelve great grandchildren; and four siblings: Joyce Stewart, Janet Rochowicz, Michael Souders, and Joanne Reinstein.

William was predeceased by one son, David Souders; and two brothers, Richard Souders, and Thomas Souders.

Family and friends are invited to a viewing on Friday, October 23, 2026, from 11AM to 12PM, at Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church 325 Covered Bridge Rd., Oley, PA 19547.  A funeral service will follow at 12PM.

Burial will be in Christ Lutheran Church Cemetery.
