Wilson Renninger Hoffman

Wilson Renninger Hoffman, 89, husband of Carolyn Ann (Huber) Hoffman, of Barto, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 19, 2025, surrounded by his family.

Born in Washington Township, Wilson was the son of the late Chester Hoffman and Ella Mae (Renninger) Hoffman.

Wilson was a 1955 graduate of Boyertown Area High School. He enlisted in the Army in 1957 and served in Germany. He then joined the Air Force Reserves.

Wilson worked on his family farm for a number of years. He also was employed with Suburban Water in the maintenance department and later was a real estate agent with Century 21.

Wilson was an associate member of Christ Lutheran Church Niantic and a member of Living Faith Church in New Berlinville. He was a member of the VFW in Topton and the Gideons of Boyertown. He also was active in mission work worldwide.

Surviving in addition to his wife, Carolyn, are four children, Stephen L. Hoffman, husband of Sandra K.; Christina M. H. Nelson, wife of Daniel P.; Sarah A. Hoffman; and Wilson C. Hoffman, husband of Michele A.; as well as seven grandchildren, Stephanie, Katie; Kristine; Laura; Tirrell; Terry; and Nathaniel. Wilson is also survived by seven great grandchildren, and one brother, Charles R. Hoffman.

Wilson is predeceased by three brothers; Ralph, Earl, and Roy, and one sister, Edith.

Family and friends are invited to a viewing on Thursday, July 24, 2025 from 9:30AM to 11AM at Christ Lutheran Church 222 Niantic Rd., Barto, PA 19504. A funeral service will follow at 11AM.

Burial will be in Christ Lutheran Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Gideons International, 2948 Limekiln Rd, Birdsboro, PA 19508; Christ Lutheran Church 222 Niantic Rd., Barto, PA 19504; or Living Faith Church 1206 Montgomery Ave., Boyertown, PA 19512 in Wilson’s memory.
