Lee Donald Heathman

Lee Donald Heathman, 81, husband of Linda (Mathias) Heathman, of Birdsboro, passed away on Thursday, April 27, 2023 surrounded by family at St. Francis Home in Shillington.

Born in Philadelphia, Lee was the son of the late Vadon D. Heathman and Edith (Stickell) Heathman.

Lee grew up in Havertown and was a1959 graduate of Haverford High School and a 1965 graduate of Philadelphia Electric Institute. Lee had fond memories of early jobs as a gas station mechanic, milkman, plumber apprentice and Fuller brushman.  Lee worked from 1965 to 1975 at Ed Skey Oil company while he attended The Philadelphia Institute, from 1975 to 1985 he worked in boiler sales at Columbia Boiler Co. in King of Prussia. From 1985 until his retirement in 2007, Lee worked at Columbia Boiler Co. in Pottstown as a national sales manager.

Lee was a member of St. John’s Hill Church in Boyertown, PA. He was an avid Phillies and Eagles fan. Lee was an artist at heart with both painting, hobbies, and carpentry.

Surviving in addition to his wife of 27 years are four daughters: Deborah Lee Worthington, wife of Gerard; Pam J. Harmon, wife of Phillip, Vicki L. Klutzaritz, wife of Colin; and Sheri L. Waide, wife of Kenneth; as well as three granddaughters: Rebecca Lee Tappan, wife of Sean; Caroline J. Conway, wife of Andrew; and Alexis P. Harmon. Lee is also survived by two great grandchildren: Elijah M. Tappan, and Nora Lee Tappan, as well as five siblings: Eileen Morgan, Terry Alchenberger, wife of Dan; David McIlwain, husband of Lisa, Jennie Angelilli and Ruth Nolan, wife of Mike; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to a viewing on Saturday, May 6, 2023 from 10AM to 11AM at St. John’s Hill United Church of Christ 620 Hill Church Rd Boyertown, PA 19512. A funeral service will follow at 11AM. Burial will be in Hill Church Cemetery.

Flowers are welcome, or memorial donations may also be made in Lee’s memory to St. Francis Home 144 Hillside Dr. Shillington, PA 19607.
