JOHN WILLARD CLEEK, a.k.a. “Jack” passed away peacefully on December 10, 2023, at age 88.
Formerly of Lansdowne, Villanova, Shillington, PA and Vero Beach, FL, Jack was born on February 25, 1935. He was predeceased by his father, Willard Cleek, mother Grace L. Harnly, and sister Judy Kohl(Ben).
Jack graduated from Milton Hershey School and Temple University. He became a Public Relations Specialist and retired form the US Small Business Administration. He was an avid Phillies fan, family photographer, Mr. Fixit, who did his own home improvements , a Rod Stewart and Patsy Cline fan, and a calm and gentle family guy who taught his kids by example. He loved gin and tonics, chocolate Tastykakes, and family reunions in Betterton, MD.
Throughout his life, Jack had diverse hobbies and organizational memberships including: Young Republicans, The Savoy Company of Philadelphia, Radnor Little League coach, Radnor Township Board of Commissioners, PA Air National Guard, Berks County Tax Assessment Board, and President of FLICA of Vero Beach, FL.
He is survived by his wife Constance Kemmerer, daughter Lisa, son John, and grandsons Michael J.(Jena Mainardi) and Andrew(Sarah Hughes), who will all miss him, but feel privileged to have known him.
Family and friends are welcome to attend a burial service Tuesday, December 19, at Most Blessed Sacrament Church in Bally, PA 11 am. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jack’s name may be made to MBS Church.
