Mildred A. (Brunner) Hartman, 106, widow of Paul F. Hartman, of Boyertown, passed away on Tuesday, June 20, 2023, in Reading Hospital, surrounded by her family.
Born in Boyertown, PA, Mildred was the only child of the late LeRoy Brunner and Frances (Sands) Brunner.
Mildred was a 1934 graduate of Boyertown Area High School. After graduation, she worked as a cashier at The State Theatre in Boyertown. Mildred then went on to work as a seamstress out of her home until eventually becoming a full-time homemaker and caring for her husband and three children.
Mildred was an active member of St. Columbkill Roman Catholic Church in Boyertown. She was a member of the “McDonald’s Breakfast Club”, meeting friends there every morning for years until eventually cutting back to a few times a week. Mildred loved to read and garden as well as sew. In her younger years, she and her husband loved to travel, visiting Europe several times as well as many other locations.
Mildred is survived by her three children: Jean Reppert, Mildred Kaas, wife of John, and Paul Hartman, husband of Sharon, as well as seven grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Tuesday, June 27, 2023 from 10AM to 11AM at St. Columbkill Roman Catholic Church 200 Indian Spring Rd Boyertown, PA 19512. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11AM.
Burial will be private.
