Dorothy L. (Yoder) Rhoads, 88, died Saturday, December 2, 2017 at Phoenixville Hospital-Tower Health, formerly of Gilbertsville, widow of Walter H. Rhoads who passed away on March 3, 2016.
Born in Reading, PA. she was a daughter of the late John M. Yoder & the late Mary (Nein) Yoder.
Dorothy was a homemaker. She enjoyed sewing & baking and spending time with her family.
She was a member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Boyertown.
Dorothy is survived by 3 daughters, Dolores “Dolly” J. Weidner, wife of William of Boyertown; Dawn G. Melcher, wife of John of Laureldale; Cheryl E. Parker, widow of Robert of Milford, DE; one son, Walter H. Rhoads Jr., husband of Terry of Barto; two brothers, Nelson C. and Donald N. Yoder; one sister, Mildred M. Neetz; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
She is predeceased by one grandson, Ricky; four brothers Lee, Martin, J. Luther and Raymond and three sisters, Sarah, Ruth and Mary.
A Celebration of Life and luncheon will be held at Frederick Living in the auditorium, 2849 Big Road, Frederick, PA 19435 on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at 12:00pm. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Dorothy’s memory to the Boyertown Area Multi-Service, 200 West Spring St., Boyertown, Pa 19512.
