Harry Crump

In Loving Memory

Harry Crump passed away peaceful on June 5th, at the age of 85. Born in Lansdale, he was the son of the late Harry A. Crump and Edna R. Beck. Harry was married to his loving wife, Bonnie Heck Crump, for 62 years.

Harry worked many jobs throughout his life. He was employed at Firestone as a supervisor, he sold life insurance for Lutheran Brotherhood, taught Sunday School, worked many years for the Mercury, and finally retired from Tri-county Transit at the age of 80. He loved the mountains and had a cabin at Lake Wallenpaupack where he and his family would enjoy summers boating and riding 4-wheelers. He was completely devoted to his family and worked hard to care for them. His family was the most important part of his life. Harry has left a legacy to his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren that will live on forever. He will be missed by all that knew him but most importantly to the family that loves him tremendously.

Along with his wife Bonnie, he is survived by his three children, Keith Crump, husband of Kristen, Kevin Crump, husband of Marsha, and Kimberly Brown, wife of Troy. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren. Shannon Crump, Shane Crump, Shaun Crump, Jacob Crump, Courtney Burns, and Cody Crump. Harry was a proud great grandfather to Isabella, Luca, Cesalee, and Samuel. He is survived by his brother, Ed Crump and preceded in death by his sister, Sara Crump.

Harry was a devoted father, a cherished grandfather, and loved great grandfather. He will always be in our hearts forever.

  3. I was so touched and very saddened to recently learn of Harry’s passing last June. I rode the Community Coaster on a regular basis where Harry and I had many a great conversation, primarily about family, of whom he was so proud and obviously loved so much. And he showed interest when others spoke of their family, Harry was genuinely interested in and cared about all riders, a huge attribute. And we talked politics…alot! I so enjoyed Harry, as did every rider. He was a special man, very honest, intelligent and kind with a great sense of humor. My sincere condolences to his wife and family.
