Elmer W. Harner, 87, husband of Frances J. (Miller) Harner, of Gilbertsville, passed away at home on Friday, February 18, 2022.

Born in Mount Carmel, Elmer was the son of the late Elmer L. Harner and Grace I. Harner.

Elmer truly  loved to spend time with his family. He also enjoyed camping, fishing, and playing cards.

In addition to his wife, Elmer is survived by two daughters: Jean Wampole, wife of Walter, and Joan Kastenbaum, wife of Doug, as well as one son: William Harner, husband of Susan. He is also survived by seven grandchildren: Beth Kelley, Thomas Kelley, James Wampole, Andrew Kastenbaum, Jacob Kastenbaum, William Harner Jr., and Kyle Harner; as well as eight great grandchildren: Kristin Kelley, Thomas Kelley Jr., Britney Kelley, Dilyn Gaul, Sean Kelley, Johnathan Rothenberger, William Harner III, and Wyatt Harner. Elmer is also survived by a brother, Robert Harner.

Elmer was predeceased by one grandson, Robert Kastenbaum, as well two brothers, Lloyd Harner and Arthur Harner.

Services are private at the request of the family.
