Franklin H. Eddinger

Franklin H. Eddinger, son of Edwin W. and Rosa B. (Heere) Eddinger, passed away on Friday, January 28, 2022, in Boyertown, at the age of 96.

Frank graduated from Boyertown High School class of 1943 and was the widower of Ethel J. (Geisler) Eddinger of Boyertown who passed away in 2016 after being married for seventy years. He is survived by daughter, Linda A. Feig of Boyertown, companion of Scott Boyer of Tylersport, son Larry F. Eddinger, husband of Audrey, of Avon Park, Florida, two granddaughters, Wendy, wife of Shane Gabel of Gilbertsville, and Christine, wife of Kenneth Kemp of Fleetwood, and two great grandchildren, Lauren, and Jacob Gabel, of Gilbertsville. He was also predeceased by a brother, two half brothers and four half-sisters.  Frank was employed by the former Boyertown Casket Co.  and the former Bally Case and Cooler Co.  as a sheet metal worker and press operator for many years. In his early years he enjoyed Wednesday night weekly bowling at the former Legion Alleys in Boyertown and served as Cub Master for Pack 3 at Good Shepherd church in Boyertown.

He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army, serving in the North African and European North Apennines Theatre in Italy during World War II as a mortar man in the 361st Infantry Division. He was also a very talented woodworker and avid gardener his entire life.

Family and friends are invited to attend his funeral service on Wednesday, February 2, 2022, at 11AM at Morrell Funeral Home 124 W. Philadelphia Ave Boyertown, PA 19512. A viewing will be held from 10AM to 11AM before the service. A burial with military honors will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Boyertown, PA.
