Sandra Kay (Smith) Bucks, 84, widow of Wilbur J. Bucks, of Boyertown, passed away on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at Lehigh Valley Hospital Cedar Crest.
Born in Pottstown, Sandy was the daughter of the late John W. Smith and Thelma D. (Weikel) Smith.
Sandy graduated from Boyertown Area High School in 1959 and attended Pierce College in Philadelphia.
Sandy worked for her parents at Route 73 Drive In for about eighteen years. After, she went on to work as a secretary for Kane and Roach, before becoming a secretary at Otts Funeral Home. Sandy also worked part time at Morrell Funeral Home.
Sandy enjoyed traveling, and going to the casino. She was a member of Pikeville Sportsman’s Club, Kutztown Fire Company, Gilbertsville Fire Company, and the American Legion both in Delaware and Boyertown.
Sandy is survived by her two children, Barbara Sue Kautz, and Wayne Alan Bucks, husband of Karen, as well as three grandsons: John R. Kautz, III, companion of Therese Alderfer; Cody Alan Bucks, husband of Casey; and Devon Lee Bucks, husband of Marlee King. Sandy is also survived by her siblings, Dr. Jay H. Smith, Khervin D. Smith, Esq., Parker J. Smith, and Susan J. Nessle; as well as fifteen nieces and nephews: Amby Hunt, Jay Smith, Jason Smith, Renee’ Tajudeen, Andrew Smith, Matthew Smith, Parker Smith, Jr., Dawn Smith, Phillip Smith, Bill Gerhart, Glenn Gerhart, Paulette Weaver, Cynthia Senn, Gary Gerhart, and Diane Bucks.
She was predeceased by one nephew, Christian Kanewske.
Family and friends are invited to a viewing on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, from 10AM to 11AM at Morrell Funeral Home 124 W. Philadelphia Ave., Boyertown, PA 19512.
A funeral service will follow at 11AM.
Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery in Boyertown.

A luncheon will follow the burial at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Bechtelsville.
